Pera Noir

Pera Noir

Heritage: Pera, Istanbul | Weave: Ornamental Jacquard Tapestry

The Story: The Evening Quarter

Pera Noir takes its name from Pera, Istanbul’s historic quarter of grand hotels, embassies, private salons, and European-influenced tailoring. For generations, Pera stood at the meeting point of Ottoman heritage and continental refinement — a place where architecture, textiles, and formal dress shared the same language of restraint and elegance.

This fabric carries that atmosphere into a darker, more composed expression. Designed for evenings, weddings, formal occasions, and moments that call for presence without excess, Pera Noir brings depth, character, and quiet distinction to CUKATU’s handmade Spanish footwear.

The Color: Black & Antique Gold

We call this colorway “Noir” for its deep black ground and evening character. The antique-gold motif gives the textile a subtle regal quality, adding richness without overwhelming the silhouette.

The Look: Antique-gold jacquard motifs are woven across a deep black base, creating a rich contrast that feels architectural, elegant, and controlled.

The Versatility: The black foundation pairs naturally with tuxedos, charcoal suits, black tailoring, dark denim, and eveningwear. The gold detailing adds character while keeping the overall look polished and wearable.

The Texture: Formal Tapestry

Pera Noir is not printed. It is a structured woven textile with raised ornamental detailing, giving each pair depth, texture, and a hand-finished presence. When paired with black leather trims, the fabric feels grounded, refined, and suitable for both formalwear and elevated statement dressing.
